Donald Eugene Adkins 63, died September 13, 2011 in Eatonton, Georgia.

Donald was born in Highland Park, Illinois and resided in Eatonton, Georgia for the past eleven years, coming from New Smyrna, Florida.

He grew up in Fort Pierce and graduated from Dan Mc Carty High School, served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He loved the outdoors and was a avid hunter.

He was a building contractor.

Survivors include his son, Donald of Vero Beach, Fl and daughter Kelly of Port St. Lucie, FL; mother, Lorraine M. Adkins of St. Lucie Village, FL, brother Darrell E (Maria) Adkins of Parrish, FL, Danny E. (Cheryl) Adkins of Fort Pierce, FL, Stephen B (Kathy) Adkins of Live Oak, Fl and sister Debbie Brunen of Clayton, Ga.  He is preceded in death by his father,  Bob A. Adkins.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 24 at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel.
