I just learned of Steve's passing from the Dan McCarty 66 website, and I am so very sorry to have heard this. Steve and I roomed for a while at UofF while he dated Jan, so happy that they married and had children. I am very sorry Jan and Scott.
On the much lighter side, Steve and I had lots of fun and lived like pigs in the upstairs of an old house off University Avenue. I remember once when Steve splattered a raw egg on the old hardwood kitchen floor and then cleaned it up by just throwing down a piece of newspaper on top of it and walking away. His roommate (Ron) was no better. I'm sure that our wives gave us a little training and brought us around a bit. He was certainly a great guy.
It is tough living without your best friend and cohort in crime. I think about him and what we would be doing every day. You never get over losing an identical twin.
